We just moved into a building nearby and were handed a flyer from Foodies. It showed a picture of a fantastic looking pizza with a great crust. Well, just two days after moving in we ordered a pizza for carry out. Nothing special, just a cheese pizza with onions, olives, and light sauce. When I arrived, the staff were friendly and the pizza was ready. I walked home and opened the box to find a store bought crust covered in a heavy thick canned sauce. The sparse toppings did not come to within an inch of the crusts edge. After a single bite, we threw it in the trash. Yuck!! Never again.

We came in for a late lunch today and had the place to ourselves for most of the meal. I had a good cheeseburger and fries. Mom and Dad enjoyed a wrap. Service was good. It's a small place with maybe a dozen tables. Nothing fancy. Portions were a good size and the prices were fair. The only thing that I didn't like was that our sodas came from cans. I'd have preferred a fountain drink. The server gave us cups with ice but the taste isn't the same. Overall it was fine.

We are staying at a neighboring hotel and came in for breakfast. Portions were generous, everything was freshly prepared and delicious! Our family enjoyed home fries, pork sausage and pancakes. The three of us ate for $20 and will probably return for another meal before we leave.

Ordered fish tacos to be delivered - they were raw. When we called to comment they told us there was nothing they could do and call manager next day. Called and Tracy the manager argued that the fish could not be raw she was there when they put the taco together. Don't know how that could be when we called and she wasn't there. The other good we ordered was cooked properly but tasteless Bad customer service - food gross

We have eaten here about four times now and enjoy it. Always greeted with a smile and tables are clean. We especially enjoy breakfast here. Eggs always done right and their sausage gravy is very good. They also do hamburgers "your way." If you want something cooked a certain way just ask. They have gone out of their way to please us. And the prices are reasonable. They brew their own Iced tea. We will eat here again!

OMG..BEWARE, took 1.5 hr to get simple food. Then the order was ALL wrong. Tried to give my kids diet root beer (which the are allergic to Nutri Sweet), missing items, items that they "ran out of". On top of that the food was horrible. Cold and hard or mushy. Not one thing was edible! Then when we called them back to figure it all out they hung up the phone on us. So we went back in to get our money back for the items we didn't receive and they said they couldn't give it to us. Terrible customer service, probably won't make it on the beautiful beach. If I could leave no stars I would .CAUTION!

My friend and I recently stopped over at Foodies while spending the past weekend (4/19-20) at Redington Beach. Foodies is attached to the Sandalwood Beach resort, where my friend has a condo, so we opted to try it for breakfast. When we first entered we were warmly greeted by the chef's wife (not sure if they co-own the restaurant or just work there) and told to sit anywhere. The interior decor was pretty basic, with a light blue motif and a couple of beach-related pictures on the wall. There were about 10-12 tables, most of which sat 4-6, and 4-5 stools, at the counter. Pretty basic, but homey, though I found the stacks of soft drink 12 packs, by the refrigerator to be a little off-putting. There was also a bunch of printed out signs, hawking various dishes, hanging on a banner, across the ceiling. I understand the reasoning, but I felt it make the place look "cheap"; almost a flea market atmosphere. One sign that I did note, on the wall was that they "make everything from scratch" and it may take up to 30 mins or so for food to arrive, but "is worth it." Each table has a paper menu, with breakfast (all day), lunch and dinner choices. My friend opted for a couple scrambled eggs w/ cheese, toast and home-fries, while I opted for the "Foodies' Biscuits and gravy and eggs". As a southerner, I have a special love for biscuits and sausage gravy, and can be quite picky about it. I figured this would make or break their "from scratch" claim. For drinks, she got coffee and orange juice, while I chose sweet tea. It was interesting to note that while the coffee and tea came with refills, the soft drinks did not, as they were only available via bottle or can. No soda fountains. The tea was pretty good, and lightly sweet (which is fine with me). As I can't stand coffee, asked my friend who said it was fine. The orange juice was obviously bottled, from concentrate, but was cold enough anyway. The food came out about 20 mins or so, and looked and smelled good. The portions were huge, and I was quite impressed. My friend's eggs were cooked perfectly, and she really enjoyed her meal. My food was on a platter, there was so much, with the home-fries on a second dish. The sausage gravy tasted good, and appeared to be homemade, though could have used a little more pepper and salt, but that was easily remedied. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and there were a total two huge halved biscuits (4 slices total), each topped with a sausage patty and smothered in gravy. Yum! The food temperature was not bad, but could have been a little warmer. Still, was well within proper range. I felt the home-fries were a bit under cooked, but my friend said hers were fine. All in all, it was a pleasant breakfast, that with tip (I tip 20%+), was only $19 so definitely "bang for the buck", especially for a beach-side diner. We also ended up stopping in the next afternoon for some pie. The choices were Apple (out of it), Key Lime, Peanut Butter, Cheesecake, and one other that I can't recall. I immediately ordered the key lime, while my friend did the same after being told they were out of apple. Now, anyone really familiar knows that a REAL Key Lime pie is yellowish, not green, and that Key Limes have a distinct flavor, and are easily distinguishable from the standard lime. I was curious to see whether I was going to get a honest to goodness real slice of homemade Key Lime pie, or the store bought variety. No worries, it was the real deal. So good, and the texture was spot on. I don't know if they made it, or if they have it delivered, but it was definitely a "homemade" pie. The only real quibbles I have (and they are minor) is the lack of Splenda as a sugar substitute, and only having whole milk as opposed to a 1% or 2% variety. Also, find somewhere else for those soft drink cases. It looks tacky in the dining area. If you dig good food, at a decent price, in a mom n pop type atmosphere, I definitely recommend Foodies. Just bring an appetite...or a doggie bag.

Terrible service sat ourselves, sat for 10 min never had anyone come to our table. Even though she walked by our table 3 times, would not recommend this place decor is dated and not friendly. So we left and where finally asked as we were walking out the door.

The only reason I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 was for the service -- it was relatively fast, & the staff were very very nice. The food was terrible, though. I got fried crab, which was 70% breading with an old-smelling/looking piece of crab. Slathered in mayo. French fries were the frozen crinkle cut kind you get at Walmart with no seasoning whatsoever. Partner got shrimp & grits -- no seasoning, just a ton of bacon & sprinkle cheese. Wish I had stayed home & had a PB&J instead, it would've been so much better.

What a pleasant surprise. A simple breakfast pizza that was outrageously good. Will come back. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

Very friendly employees, we had a party of 4, plus a toddler. Pancakes are somewhat small, but very tasty! I had a 3 egg omelet that was good...but the best part was the coffee!!! They grind their own coffee beans..
